Dr Ian Christopher Alfonso gave a lecture yesterday worthy of the 150th birth anniversary of the revolutionary Pedro Abad Santos. We thank our co-organizers, the National Historical Commission of the Philippines, the UP Department of History, and the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Dr. Ian Christopher Alfonso, who delivered the lecture, is the author of several books, such as the Burning of Macabebe and more recently, Dogs in Philippine History, which won a National Book Award.
Dr Alfonso and Red Constantino exchange history books. Constantino also gave Dr. Alfonso the acclaimed book Harvest Moon: Poems and Stories from the Edge of the Climate Crisis, winner of three national book awards and which is composed of 33 contributions from around the world, written in 11 languages.
