The Constantino Foundation provides pedagogical support for teachers and groups or individuals determined to exert positive influence on public policy.

The foundation believes in the critical role of history in promoting liberative education, whatever the subject, as well as advocacies aimed at delivering inclusive, sustainable development.

Books published by founders Renato Constantino and Letizia Roxas Constantino provide the main pillar. The publications can be accessed in most public libraries or purchased through our partner, Popular Book Store.

The foundation offers other initiatives anchored on its collection of manuscripts and artifacts, along with the archives first organized by its founders.

Through its Linangan Gallery the foundation provides compelling lectures and learning workshops on history as it relates to our topics and issues such as climate change, our culinary past, and the humanities.

The foundation also provides provocations with partner schools and initiatives such as the IYAS National Writer’s Workshop under the Bienvenido N. Santos Creative Writing Center of De La Salle University (DLSU) and the Siento Beinteng Lektura year-long initiative marking the 120th founding anniversary of the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP).

The foundation delivers lecture-provocations as well throughout the year in collaboration with institutions such as the Ateneo de Zamboanga University (ADZU), St. Theresa’s College (STC), University of La Salle Bacolod (LSB), the College of Fine Arts (CFA) of the University of the Philippines Diliman and the University of the Philippines Manila (UPM).

The foundation will be holding several multimedia learning workshops and activities in 2025 and 2026, such as the sequel to the acclaimed Alas ng Bayan exhibit launched in 2019, the book launch of the special 50th anniversary edition of The Philippines: A Past Revisited and a new edition of Dissent and Counter-Consciousness, 55 years after it was first published.
